Sketches of my mind

Fakulti Teknologi Maklumat dan Komunikasi (FTMK) will be organizing a Java Stream Program based on the Infosys methods and syllabus.  And.. I’ll be one of the educators. Kakaka! (macam x caye pulak, aku ajar Java ke?)

The course starts next week on the 19th of November 2008 where I’ll be the one who “officially starts” the course.  Java.  I think I should get some advice from my dad as he is Java certified. He speaks Java fluently because he is a Javanese.

Wahah! Have to dig back my notes on Java during my 2 month training/ vacation @ Mysore, India.  Will spend the whole weekend refreshing my Java skills and brushing up some communication skills, because the whole course will be RECORDED and kept by the faculty.  Ema, why must we record laa..? Huhu

Anyway, heres the proposed itenary on the 19th:

0800-0830             Student Registration
                               -  Foundation Program – Mathematic Lab
                               -  Java Stream Program – Cyber Center
0825-0830             Arrival of Educators
0830                       Arrival of FTMK Dean, Prof Dr. Shahrin Sahib
0830-0835             Welcome Notes by SPOC
0835-0850             Keynote Addresses by Dean
0850-0900             Photo Sessions
0900                       Refreshments (dean + educators, students start course session)

Felt like have no time already.  Have to be ready for this course + get ready for the SCOReD in UTM on the 26th, have to submit a paper for NPC’09.  Somebody please help me!!

Anyway, the Java Stream Program will surely refresh my memories when I was @ Infosys in Mysore.  Being in the Fast Track course, it was a tense period of 2 months, yet interesting and exciting.  Just FYI, Infosys offers two types of course:  Long Cycle and Fast Track.  And Fast Track is actually for people who have concrete basics of Java and guess what, we were not, and were struggling for the first few weeks.  Anyhow, the pressure really put us up to motivate ourselves.  So, I expect my students in my course to be like that too! Hahaha!
